Synopsis
A panicked young woman (Nasim Pedrad) and her two best friends (Anna Camp & Sarah Burns) fly to Mexico to delete a ranting email she sent to her new boyfriend. On arrival, they run into her former beau (Lamorne Morris), who soon gets caught up in their frantic scheme.

Review
First of, the idea of Nasim Pedrad’s character travelling all the way to Mexico just to delete an email, was a crazy one of me. I have seen different movies whereby different ladies execute crazy ideas and all but this lady’s level crazy or should I say Wesley’s level of desperation is just….Unbelieveable.
There was something Nasim Pedrad did with her character that made it so easy, relaxing and enjoyable to watch. I mean, she was funny, crazy, there was just this vibe that she had. The dialogues in this film were not complex at all and the simplicity of these dialogues in turn made the movie engaging and easy to follow.
But…

On the long long, there were few insensitive satire, from the immature email sent from an adult to simply not just sending another email to say “I apologize, I thought you ghosted me” or some decent explanation, then the pedophile humour and few exaggerated scenes here and there, all of these made the story fall flat.

Verdict
Apart from the insensitive satire in this film, the comedy was good, good choice of location and styling. Great cast I must say. Desperados is a film you would enjoy watching if you can over look some of the obvious exaggerations and loopholes.
