To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. P.S. I Still Love You.

We can’t deny the fact that 2018 Netflix romantic comedy To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, based on Jenny Han’s YA novel, was a big success. When they announced plans to adapt the other two novels in the trilogy: P.S. I Still Love You and Always And Forever, I wasn’t surprise. Although some viewers complained and said there was no need for a part 2,my opinions were and are still otherwise. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before isn’t one of those movies that should have only one part. I have read the books by Jenny Han and I discovered that there is more to the story beyond part 1, so when I saw the announcement concerning P. S. I Still Love you, I was excited but at the same time, I was scared that they might try to adapt too much to the book which might result to the movie going flat.

In this part we find Lara Jean and Peter in the early blush of couple hood. We see them have their first real date, their first family dinners together, and their first conversation about sex. Also in this part, we see Lara Jean deal with the outcome of the letter her sister, Kitty, sent without her knowledge to one John Ambrose McClaren, who Lara Jean knew at Model U.N. I love the fact that in this part, they tried as much as they could to give us a glimpse of the Covey sisters relationship. This chapter is different, for sure. It’s less giddy, more grounded and a little more suffused. Most importantly, I love the fact that they didn’t adapt too much to the book.

Let’s talk about Lara Jean’s room, in part one, it was made clear to us that Lara Jean takes little or no care of her room and I like the fact that Lara jean’s messy room was added to the script in this part, let’s also talk about Kitty, she was a whole mood and we got to see the sarcastic part of her even in this part But……

Should we talk about the scene where Peter gave Lara Jean a necklace for Valentine’s Day, 😂 in case you didn’t see this part that I’m about to tell you about, maybe you should go back and check after reading this review. That scene where Peter gave Lara Jean a necklace, if you look closely, she initially had a necklace on and when Peter tried to put the new necklace he got for her, on her(follow this description closely) she asked him to put it on her, she turned, flipped her hair to the side and boom!! the necklace she had on before was gone. How?? They should have allowed us see Peter take off the old necklace before puttting on the new one. But it is fineee ☺, we should just blame the continuity manager…

Have you seen this sequel? What do you think about it?

Do you agree with me that P.S. I Still Love You was necessary??

Do you think they should have adapted to the book more?

Can You Keep a Secret?

Can you keep a Secret? is an American romantic comedy film directed by Elise Duran .This film features Alexander Daddario and Tyler Hoechlin and it is based on the novel “can you keep a secret? by Sophie Kinselle.

Emma Corrigan is a New York junior marketing representative at Panda, an organic food company. After a disastrous sales meeting in Chicago with some potential clients,Emma gets drunk on the flight back to New York and reveals her personal and professional woes to a handsome stranger, Jack Harper, including her dissatisfaction with her boyfriend Connor.

Later on, Emma regrets her decision to drink as her new boss at work turns out to be the handsome stranger from the plane. She pleaded with him not to fire her and in turn he asked her not to tell anyone that he was in Chicago and she also asked him not to mention all the things she said on the plane to anyone.

I love the pacing of the film, the scenes and dialogue. I also love the charisma of the lead actress, Emma. I don’t like the fact that the movie is predictable, the film has a typical love story line which makes it predictable to an extent because as expected they fell in love, started going out, one person reveals the other person’s secret which leads to the conflict in the film. The only twist in the film happened when Jack revealed his secret to Emma.No one would have guessed right, I mean, what I was expecting Jack’s secret to be wasn’t what it turned out to be.

Have you seen this movie? If yes, what do you think about it, do you think I left something out?

If you haven’t seen this movie, would you want to see it?

PHASES by Ndani TV

When it comes to Ndani TV, we can’t shy away from the fact that their set designs, costumes, actors, performances, makeup and locations are always on point. Even when it comes to the visual quality of their videos after it must have gone through editing, they still get a bow.

Today, i would be reviewing PHASES which is an original Ndani series. Phases explores the life of a young man called Sukanmi who is trying to start up his life, his career and his love life. Sukanmi who happens to know little or nothing about love and relationship decided to give love a try and with the help of his best friends, Tunde and Gbubemi, he meets Noami. As the story evolves, Sukanmi finds himself in a love triangle, stuck between Ini and Naomi. This series features Tosin Ibitoye, Tobi Bakare, Elma Mbadiwa, Tomike Adeoye, Adebukola Oladipupo and Asa’ah Samuel.

In this series, you get to see the friendship between three friends(Sukanmi,Gbugbemi and Tunde) and you get to see how their friendship helps or destroys their relationship. I love the fact that in the season one of this series, just seven casts were introduced and their performances were enough to keep the attention of the viewers fixed. I mean, you see a movie that has more than 10 characters and still flops. Also the story line so far has been delivered properly. The character aren’t doing too much or trying too hard to make the story real because originally the story is relateable. I also love the fact that the scenes didn’t drag and the dialogues were not too long. As much as I enjoyed season 1, I didn’t like the fact that the episodes were too short,i mean, the viewers were just starting to enjoy the series more and getting to know more about the characters. I want to believe that when season 2 returns it would be much longer than the previous episodes.

Phases is available on YouTube.

Have you seen it, if you have, what do you think about it? And if you haven’t, will you want to check it out? Do make sure to leave your thoughts below, I would love to hear from you..
