We can’t deny the fact that 2018 Netflix romantic comedy To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, based on Jenny Han’s YA novel, was a big success. When they announced plans to adapt the other two novels in the trilogy: P.S. I Still Love You and Always And Forever, I wasn’t surprise. Although some viewers complained and said there was no need for a part 2,my opinions were and are still otherwise. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before isn’t one of those movies that should have only one part. I have read the books by Jenny Han and I discovered that there is more to the story beyond part 1, so when I saw the announcement concerning P. S. I Still Love you, I was excited but at the same time, I was scared that they might try to adapt too much to the book which might result to the movie going flat.
In this part we find Lara Jean and Peter in the early blush of couple hood. We see them have their first real date, their first family dinners together, and their first conversation about sex. Also in this part, we see Lara Jean deal with the outcome of the letter her sister, Kitty, sent without her knowledge to one John Ambrose McClaren, who Lara Jean knew at Model U.N. I love the fact that in this part, they tried as much as they could to give us a glimpse of the Covey sisters relationship. This chapter is different, for sure. It’s less giddy, more grounded and a little more suffused. Most importantly, I love the fact that they didn’t adapt too much to the book.

Let’s talk about Lara Jean’s room, in part one, it was made clear to us that Lara Jean takes little or no care of her room and I like the fact that Lara jean’s messy room was added to the script in this part, let’s also talk about Kitty, she was a whole mood and we got to see the sarcastic part of her even in this part But……
Should we talk about the scene where Peter gave Lara Jean a necklace for Valentine’s Day, 😂 in case you didn’t see this part that I’m about to tell you about, maybe you should go back and check after reading this review. That scene where Peter gave Lara Jean a necklace, if you look closely, she initially had a necklace on and when Peter tried to put the new necklace he got for her, on her(follow this description closely) she asked him to put it on her, she turned, flipped her hair to the side and boom!! the necklace she had on before was gone. How?? They should have allowed us see Peter take off the old necklace before puttting on the new one. But it is fineee ☺, we should just blame the continuity manager…
Have you seen this sequel? What do you think about it?
Do you agree with me that P.S. I Still Love You was necessary??
Do you think they should have adapted to the book more?
